Two Prominent Sons of Igalamela to Receive Prestigious Service Awards



The Igalamela Youth Renaissance Ajaka (IYRA) is set to confer prestigious service awards on two prominent sons of Igalamela, Alhaji Hayatudeen Sule Ojochide and Dr. Timothy Usman Onechojoh.

Alhaji Hayatudeen is being honored for his educational support through the Tudeen Scholarship Foundation, which has enabled many indigent students from Igalamela to access various institutions of learning.

 IYRA's outgoing President, Comrade Alih Nasir Adamu, expressed gratitude to Alhaji Hayatudeen for promoting education and providing job opportunities for residents of the Local Government.

Dr. Timothy Usman Onechojoh, a scholar based in Abuja, is also being recognized for his contributions to positively shaping the minds of youth through mentorship and training. 

IYRA is proud to acknowledge and celebrate the profound contributions of both awardees to the development of the Igalamela community.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Iyogbo in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, starting at 2 pm.

A University Don, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni, has called on employers in Nigeria's tertiary institutions to provide special IT training for academic staff to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into existing systems.  He emphasized the need for caution, as some students use AI tools to generate answers, threatening creativity and commitment in learning. Aliyu Umar Yusuf expressing excitement and gratitude to God for the Supreme Court's affirmation of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's victory in the November 11th governorship election.  Speaker Yusuf stated this in his address of welcome to members at resumption of plenary after a long recess, on Tuesday in Lokoja.
